Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Her birth date was 11th November, 1966. Her first feature film appearance was a small part in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donnevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to the profession of commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles this was the principle she applied in her acting. If she came to the director's notice for a James Bond film, Doody took on a part on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising actors of the year in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was still only aged 18 at the time of her appearance in the Bond character. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. Her first lead role was in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody came back to acting in 2003, playing a small part as a character in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also scheduled to take on the role of lead for The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and she received an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
